Diljit Dosanjh says crowd management concerns prevented Bihar concert

The singer explained that organisers asked him to take responsibility for audience safety during an Instagram Live session.

Musician-actor Diljit Dosanjh revealed that a planned concert in Bihar could not proceed due to concerns regarding crowd management, according to reports by Outlook and Hindustan Times.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session following his Delhi concert on October 30, the singer said organisers had asked if he would take responsibility for the audience's safety. He stated that he told them he could not take that responsibility and that they would have to do so themselves.

Dosanjh explained that managing the expected large audience involves significant logistics, comparing the scale of the requirement to organising an event in Delhi. He noted that the attempt to hold a concert in Bihar had also been made last year.

The singer's AURA India Tour 2026 began in Delhi, a show that The Indian Express reported had faced uncertainty after Delhi Police initially denied permission due to security concerns. Dosanjh said the Delhi concert was "tough" and alleged that many people tried to stop it.

Following the Delhi performance, the tour is scheduled to visit Chandigarh, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Indore. The singer also addressed expected criticism, stating he has been working for 25 years and will not stop.
