Diljit Dosanjh says Bihar concert was cancelled over crowd management issues

The singer explained during an Instagram Live session that responsibility for managing large crowds could not be taken by his team.

Singer Diljit Dosanjh revealed that a planned concert in Bihar was cancelled because he could not take responsibility for crowd management, according to The Indian Express and Hindustan Times. Speaking during an Instagram Live session following his October 30 concert in Delhi, the singer said attempts were made to visit Bihar last time as well.

Dosanjh stated that it was difficult to manage the massive crowds expected at his shows. He said that while he was asked to take responsibility for the crowds, he told organisers that they would have to take that responsibility instead.

The performer noted that the logistics involved in managing such large gatherings are similar to organising an event in Delhi. He added that he had to consider these logistics when deciding against the Bihar stop.

Regarding his recent Delhi performance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Dosanjh said it was tough and alleged that a lot of people tried to stop it. The Delhi Police had initially denied permission for the Delhi concert over security concerns, but the show proceeded after organisers agreed to additional security and crowd-management measures.

The AURA India Tour includes upcoming performances in Indore on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 21, Mumbai on November 27, Bengaluru on November 29, Lucknow on December 5, Chandigarh on December 12, and Kolkata on December 19.
