PVR Inox reportedly acquires Eetha distribution rights for Rs 90 crore

The all-India theatrical distribution deal for the Shraddha Kapoor starrer was reported by Pinkvilla on November 1.

PVR Inox has reportedly acquired the all-India theatrical distribution rights for the film Eetha for Rs 90 crore. According to a Pinkvilla report published on November 1, the agreement is structured on an advance basis.

The film is a Laxman Utekar directorial and is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 4, 2026. It stars Shraddha Kapoor and is backed by Maddock Films and Kathputli Creations.

The drama draws inspiration from the lives of Tamasha performers, specifically the legendary Lavani artiste Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. Director Laxman Utekar clarified at the trailer launch that the film is not a direct biopic but uses real incidents and experiences.

The cast includes Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Nana Patekar, Siddharth Jadhav and Anant Joshi. Shraddha Kapoor revealed she underwent training for the traditional dance form and suffered a muscle tear during a dance sequence.

The makers and the distributor have not yet publicly disclosed the complete financial terms of the agreement. The reported Rs 90 crore is a pre-release distribution deal and is not the film's box-office collection.
