Labour Minister urges EPFO employees to focus on worker-centric innovations

Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya addressed employees during the 74th Foundation Day celebrations of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation on Sunday.

Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has asked Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) employees to focus on worker-centric innovations and evolve processes with changing times. He made these remarks while inaugurating an event in New Delhi on Sunday, November 1, 2026, to mark the 74th Foundation Day of the EPFO, according to The Hindu.

Mandaviya stated that the trust in the organisation is reflected in the ₹32 lakh crore corpus accumulated from contributions of more than eight crore members. He attributed this to the dedication and hard work of the EPFO workforce.

The Minister added that social security should be driven by human sensitivity. He said every concern and grievance of workers must be addressed with empathy and compassion.

Union Labour Secretary Chandra Bhushan Kumar said the EPFO strengthened India’s social security framework. He stated that social protection and labour reforms must reach unorganised sector workers at the last mile, in addition to the organised sector.

Central Provident Fund Commissioner Ramesh Krishnamurthi acknowledged the contribution of employees and officers across the country. He said there is a need to make the EPFO more reliable, humane, and accessible.
