Kollam residents can now submit complaints via video call

The 'Meet the Collector' initiative allows citizens to connect with district administrators through the Nammude Keralam mobile app.

Residents of Kollam can now speak directly with the Collector through video calls to raise concerns, according to The Hindu.

The new 'Meet the Collector' service is available via the ‘Nammude Keralam’ mobile app. Users can request a video interaction by navigating to the ‘Meet an Official’ feature within the application.

The digital system is designed to reduce the need for people to travel to the collectorate to submit complaints. It aims to make local governance more accessible and transparent.

A monitoring mechanism has been established to track every application submitted through the app. This system is intended to ensure that actions are taken without unnecessary delay.

Citizens can log in to the app to view the real-time status of their requests. The interface shows which official is managing the case and the specific steps taken so far.
