Haryana: Six-year-old girl allegedly assaulted at Panchkula government school

The victim's family has questioned school security and CCTV surveillance after a third-grade student allegedly attacked the child.

A six-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by a third-grade student at a government school in Panchkula on October 31.

The girl's family alleged that the student lured her to the first floor by claiming her father had called for her. They claimed the child was hit with a stone and a flower pot before being moved a long distance, leaving her unconscious and injured.

The family's uncle told ANI that the accused student was the one who led them to the injured girl when they arrived at the school to search for her.

The family has raised concerns regarding the school's security protocols and CCTV cameras, which are monitored from the principal's office. They questioned why the attack went unnoticed by staff.

The uncle stated that the incident serves as a lesson for all schools and noted that staff members fail to do their jobs properly despite receiving substantial salaries.
