Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma hold second net session in Auckland
The two Indian batters participated in high-intensity training at Eden Park as part of their ODI preparations.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma conducted their second net session at the Eden Park training ground in Auckland to continue their ODI preparations, according to the Times of India.
The two right-handed batters faced bowling from Auqib Nabi, Gurnoor Brar, and Anshul Kamboj on the centre wicket after a warm-up with resistance bands.
Nabi, who is part of the ODI squad for the first three matches, used the breeze to get movement away from the batters. While Kohli played cover-drives, Rohit appeared tentative outside the off-stump.
Kohli continued his session after Rohit finished, practicing various shots including pulls, drives, and flicks. He concluded his training with high-intensity sprints using two cones.
India ODI captain Shubman Gill was not present at the nets due to a scheduled gym session. KL Rahul and Ruturaj Gaikwad, who joined the team on October 31, also participated in training.
Spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule was in attendance along with throwdown specialists Dayanand Garani and Nuwan Seneviratne.
