BJP chief Nitin Nabin alleges Rahul Gandhi acts for foreign powers

The BJP leader accused the Congress of targeting constitutional institutions due to frustration over losing mandates.

BJP chief Nitin Nabin on Sunday alleged that Rahul Gandhi is acting at the behest of foreign powers to create anarchy in India. Speaking in Rohtak, Haryana, Nabin accused the Congress of targeting constitutional institutions because they are frustrated by not receiving a people's mandate, according to a report by The Economic Times.

Nabin was leading the BJP's 'Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao' padyatra. This was part of a counter-campaign against the opposition's narrative regarding alleged electoral irregularities and the Special Intensive Revision exercise.

The BJP leader criticised the Congress for protesting on the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots instead of offering an apology. He stated that the country will be governed by the Constitution rather than the law of the Gandhi family.

Nabin claimed that the Congress party has a legacy of stealing votes and disrespecting mandates. He cited the Allahabad High Court's decision to set aside Indira Gandhi's election for misusing government machinery as an example.

The comments came as opposition leaders, including Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, held an INDIA bloc rally in Delhi on Sunday. The opposition leaders called for the removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and alleged the government was formed on a stolen mandate.
