Actor Aasif Khan was evicted from the reality show Bigg Boss 20 during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Sunday, according to reports by Prabhat Khabar and India TV. Host Salman Khan announced the exit after Khan received fewer votes than other nominated contestants.
Khan, who gained recognition for his role in the web series Panchayat, had spent eight weeks in the house. He was nominated for eviction alongside Scout, Love Gill, Amrapali Dubey, Gullu (Kushal Tanwar), and Kanika Mann.
The elimination caused an emotional moment for contestants Scout and Yung, who were seen crying while saying goodbye to him, India TV reported. Khan had previously supported Scout during an argument involving Arishfa Khan and Uditi Singh.
Following his departure, Khan shared an emotional post on Instagram, thanking the viewers and housemates. He stated that his journey on the show would remain a beautiful part of his life.
The show now has 11 contestants remaining, including Yung DSA, Uditi Singh, Amrapali Dubey, Arishfa Khan, Gullu, Kanika Mann, Love Gill, Mahhi Vij, Manish Goel, Qazi Touqeer, and ScoutOP, according to Siasat. The grand finale is expected to occur in December.
