Deepotsav creates new opportunities for potters and labourers, says Yogi Adityanath

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister claimed the festival is infusing new energy into the economy and providing livelihoods for local artisans.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Monday that the Deepotsav in Ayodhya is creating new work and business opportunities for potters, labourers, and small traders. According to a report by Daily Excelsior, the Chief Minister stated that every lamp lit in Ayodhya highlights the labour of potters, the produce of farmers, and the livelihoods of families.

Adityanath claimed that before 2017, there was an absence of vision to connect the cultural potential of Ram Nagari with the prosperity of local artisans and farmers. He said the double-engine government has dispelled this darkness and, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the festival is creating new opportunities.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister described the 10th grand Deepotsav as a symbol of the journey from darkness to light and faith to progress. He noted that the festival includes aerial presentations through drones and the participation of artists to enhance its splendour.

Adityanath invited the public to visit the holy city to witness the festival, which he said makes the banks of the Saryu river and Ram ki Paidi appear as if the Milky Way has descended upon Ayodhya.

The Chief Minister also urged citizens to support deprived families by gifting them lamps, sweets, and clothes. He encouraged people to purchase lamps and products from local artisans to support their hard work.
