The meeting at Mallikarjun Kharge's residence included Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal to discuss the situation in the state.

The Congress party held a meeting with its Manipur leadership on Monday at the residence of party president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi, according to ANI.

Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi, Congress General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, and the Manipur state president attended the discussions at 10 Rajaji Marg.

The meeting follows a rally in Imphal organised by the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI).

Participants in the Imphal rally, including people from hill and valley regions, demanded the end of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement and the secure return of internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their homes.

In a separate event, the INDIA bloc held a rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan regarding alleged electoral roll irregularities and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.

During that rally, Rahul Gandhi accused Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar of aiding alleged vote theft and stated the Opposition would fight to protect the Constitution.
