M.V. Govindan seeks legal action against fake posts

The Thiruvananthapuram Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary filed a complaint with the State Police Chief regarding false social media posts.

Thiruvananthapuram Communist Party of India (Marxist) State secretary M.V. Govindan has requested legal action against individuals who spread fake posts in his name, according to The Hindu on Monday.

The fake posts claimed that Govindan spoke against Nafeesathul Misriya, the vice-chairperson of the Maharaja’s College union in Ernakulam.

According to a statement from Govindan, the posts alleged that Misriya had an SDPI background, was a former Campus Front activist, and held extreme views.

The statement said that students of Maharaja’s College had raised the issue of the suspension of students from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady.

Govindan stated that fake cards using his name were used to insult these students.

He has sought that cases be registered against those who created the fake posters with the intention of creating animosity and strife in society.
