IRC summit should showcase Telangana's investment potential, says Komatireddy
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy directed officials to use the upcoming summit to attract industries and employment to the state.
The 85th Indian Roads Congress (IRC) summit, scheduled for November 19 to 22 in Hyderabad, should serve as a global platform to showcase Telangana’s development and investment potential, according to The Hindu.
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said this during a review meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat on Monday.
The Minister directed officials to ensure the summit acts as a precursor to the ‘Invest Telangana’ Global Summit, which is scheduled for December at Bharat Future City.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy stated the event should not be limited to technical discussions on infrastructure but should also help attract industries and employment opportunities to the state.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will jointly inaugurate the four-day summit at HITEX on November 19.
The Minister asked officials to set up a ‘Telangana Pavilion’ at the venue and suggested organising daily cultural programmes. Approximately 400 exhibition stalls will be set up as part of the event.
