KTMF President administers oath to new Kulgam Traders Federation President

Mohammad Yaseen Khan called for unity among traders to strengthen representation and protect business interests across Kashmir.

Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) President Mohammad Yaseen Khan administered the oath of office to Shariq Ahmad Bhat as the new President of the Traders Federation Kulgam on November 1, according to Greater Kashmir.

The ceremony in Kulgam followed elections for the Traders Federation Kulgam held last month under the guidance of the KTMF. The event was attended by various trade representatives and civil and police officials, including Assistant Commissioner Kulgam Reyaz Ahmad and Additional Superintendent of Police Kulgam Aftab Ahmad.

Addressing the gathering, Mohammad Yaseen Khan stated that traders are the backbone of the economy in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the collective power of the community depends on cooperation and strong institutional representation.

Khan said the KTMF intends to protect the interests of traders in all ten districts of Kashmir, regardless of their market or business size. He encouraged the new leadership to coordinate with the administration to project the concerns of the trading community.

The KTMF leadership expressed confidence that Bhat would work to improve coordination between market associations and address local trader issues. Other attendees included officials such as Deputy Superintendent of Police Nasir Ahmad and SHO Kulgam Syed Mubarak Ahmad.
