Om Birla to inaugurate PAC chairpersons conference in Thiruvananthapuram
The two-day event in Kerala will focus on audit, accountability and good governance on November 3 and 4, 2026.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will inaugurate a two-day conference for Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairpersons in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, according to ANI.
The conference will bring together PAC chairpersons and members from Parliament and various State and UT Legislatures. The theme for the deliberations is ‘Audit, Accountability and Good Governance: The Evolving Role of the PAC’.
The inaugural session will feature Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh, and Kerala Legislative Assembly Speaker Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan. K. N.
Balagopal, Chairperson of the Kerala Legislative Assembly PAC, will speak at the event.
Parliamentary PAC Chairperson K.C. Venugopal is set to give the welcome address, while Kerala Assembly Deputy Speaker Shanimol Usman will offer the vote of thanks.
The event will conclude on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Om Birla will address the valedictory session, alongside the Kerala Assembly Speaker and the Chairperson of the Parliamentary PAC.
