Mark Zuckerberg buys $170 million Florida mansion on Indian Creek Island

The Meta CEO and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan, made their most expensive property acquisition of the year in the Billionaires' Bunker.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan, have reportedly purchased a luxury mansion on Indian Creek Island in Florida for $170 million, according to a Fortune report cited by the Times of India.

The property is located at 2 Indian Creek Island Road on the western side of the 300-acre man-made island, which is known as the Billionaires' Bunker due to its wealthy residents.

The island operates as its own municipality with a dedicated police force and a single gated bridge to control access. Security is maintained through land and water patrols.

Zuckerberg's new residence is situated near properties owned by Jeff Bezos. Bezos has expanded his presence on the island through several purchases, including a $68 million mansion, a $79 million adjacent property, and an $87 million Mediterranean-style home.

This acquisition follows other recent real estate moves by Zuckerberg, including a $57.1 million estate in Ireland and a $23 million mansion in Washington, D.C. He also maintains significant holdings in Palo Alto, Hawaii, and Lake Tahoe.

The purchase occurs as California prepares for a vote on a proposed 5 per cent tax on billionaires, retroactive to January 1, 2026.
