Saudi-led coalition conducts operation to neutralise Houthi resources in Yemen

The operation was carried out on Sunday morning in response to Houthi attacks against civilians and civilian objects, according to Telangana Today.

The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen carried out an operation on Sunday morning to neutralise vital resources used by the Houthi group, according to Telangana Today.

Coalition spokesperson Turki Al-Malki stated on the social media platform X that the move responded to ongoing Houthi attacks against civilians and civilian objects in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Al-Malki said the targeted resources helped the Houthis bolster their military strength, specifically their drone and ballistic missile programmes, though he did not specify the location or results of the operation.

In the southern port city of Aden, a Houthi missile struck near a military facility used by Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces in the Al-Buraiqa district on Sunday.

A security official told Xinhua that the strike caused a powerful explosion near the site, but no casualties were reported and residents noted a loud blast across several neighbourhoods.

The Houthi group did not immediately comment on the Aden strike, though military spokesperson Yahya Sarea previously rejected a Saudi claim regarding an intercepted drone over Mecca as false.
