Rajasthan government halts Goyal Fashions incentive package amid ACB probe
The state has suspended investment benefits for the company pending a preliminary inquiry by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.
The Rajasthan government has put on hold a customised investment package granted to M/s Goyal Fashions Private Limited, according to a report by ANI on Monday. The suspension comes as the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducts a preliminary inquiry into the matter.
The benefits were originally approved under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS). Officials stated the action was taken after Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma was notified of the matter.
Following the Chief Minister's intervention, the State Level Scrutiny Committee of the Department of Industries and Commerce reviewed the case and ordered a stay on the package. The Commissioner of Industries and Commerce has issued formal orders to halt the disbursement of all sanctioned benefits, incentives, and exemptions.
The state government said it remains committed to industrial development and investment promotion. However, it reiterated that public resources and state concessions must be used with transparency, accountability, and in strict adherence to rules.
The government stated that the stay on the company's benefits will remain in place until the conclusion of the ACB's preliminary proceedings.
