Atletico Madrid to host Bayern Munich in Champions League clash
Both clubs seek points at the Wanda Metropolitano to climb the Champions League league-phase table.
Atletico Madrid will face Bayern Munich at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday in a UEFA Champions League league-phase match, according to reports by Outlook and Hindustan Times. The match is scheduled to begin at 01:30 AM IST on Wednesday, November 4.
Bayern Munich currently sit 14th in the table with five points from three games, while Atletico Madrid are 16th with four points from the same number of matches. Atletico have won nine of their last 10 matches across all competitions and arrive in Madrid following a 2-0 La Liga win over Levante on Saturday.
Bayern Munich enter the fixture after a 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Their Champions League campaign has included draws against Arsenal and Viking FK. The club's coach, Kompany, is unlikely to be on the touchline as he recovers after collapsing during a training session in late October.
The visitors face significant injury concerns, with Luis Díaz ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, and Ismaël Saibari also picked up knocks, while Manuel Neuer and Jonas Urbig are facing injury issues. For Atletico, Johnny Cardoso and Koke remain fitness doubts.
The match will be telecast live on the Sony Sports Network in India and can be streamed on the Sony LIV app and website.
