Cyberabad Police advise IT firms to implement early logout amid rain forecast

Organisations are encouraged to allow staggered exits and work from home between November 3 and November 5 to ensure employee safety.

The Cyberabad Traffic Police have advised IT companies and other organisations within the commissionerate to implement staggered early logouts from 2 pm between Tuesday, November 3, and Thursday, November 5, 2026. According to The Hindu, this advisory comes in response to forecasts of moderate to heavy rainfall across the region.

The Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) requested that organisations aim to finish the phased logout process by 4 pm. This measure is intended to reduce travel risks and prevent heavy traffic congestion during the afternoon and evening periods.

The police suggested that companies also consider allowing employees to work from home during this three-day period. The advisory stated that these steps are necessary to protect staff, maintain business operations, reduce the load on road infrastructure, and allow emergency services to move without interruption.

To assist with traffic management, the police have asked organisations to email their locations and proposed logout timings to [email protected]. This will help the department prepare appropriate arrangements for the expected weather conditions.
