J&K Bank launches customer care town hall series in Baramulla

The initiative aims to provide a direct platform for customers to engage with senior officials and discuss service-related concerns.

Jammu & Kashmir Bank launched a series of Customer Care Town Hall Meetings with the first session held at its Zonal Office in Baramulla, according to the Kashmir Observer.

The meeting, chaired by General Manager (Customer Care) Narjay Gupta, involved over 150 customers who shared feedback, suggestions, and expectations regarding bank services.

Discussions focused on service delivery, cyber fraud prevention, mule accounts, safe banking practices, and the strengthening of grievance redressal mechanisms. Participants also discussed the importance of defined Turnaround Times (TATs) for resolving complaints.

General Manager Narjay Gupta said the meetings are an extension of efforts to listen to customers and incorporate feedback to improve services. He noted that conversations on digital risks like mule accounts can help customers use banking services with more confidence.

General Manager and Divisional Head (Kashmir) Arshid Qadri said such interactions help the bank understand customer experiences first-hand to identify areas for improvement. The bank's Transaction Monitoring team also provided a presentation on fraud prevention during the event.

The bank plans to expand this town hall series to all Zonal Offices in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and other regions. The next meeting is scheduled for November 5 in Anantnag.
