GTA 6 pre-loading begins November 10 for PS5 and Xbox users
Rockstar Games announced that players can download Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of its official November 19 release.
Rockstar Games has announced that digital pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) will begin on November 10 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S players. According to reports from Business Standard and Business Today, the early download is meant to decrease server pressure and waiting periods on the launch day, though the game remains inaccessible until its official release on November 19.
In India, PlayStation 5 users can start the download at 12 am on November 10. For Xbox Series X and Series S, the pre-load begins globally at 12 am GMT, which is 5:30 am IST. The pre-load file is expected to require up to 212 GB of storage space, though the exact amount may vary by device.
Code-in-box versions for both consoles are expected to reach retailers from November 12. These versions provide a download code rather than a physical disc. In India, the standard edition of GTA 6 is priced at ₹5,999, while the Ultimate edition is available for ₹7,499.
The game is set in Leonida, a fictional US state inspired by Florida, and features protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Rockstar Games will also provide a printable cover art poster and a map of Leonida as free digital downloads on its website on November 19.
