GTA 6 pre-loading begins on November 10 for consoles
Rockstar Games announced that players will need up to 212GB of storage space to download the title before its release.
Rockstar Games announced on November 3 that digital pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto VI will start on November 10 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, according to Business Today.
PlayStation 5 users can begin the download at midnight local time on November 10. Xbox Series X|S players will have global access to the pre-load at 12 am GMT on the same day.
The developer stated that the pre-load requires up to 212GB of available storage, depending on the device. Players who have pre-ordered the game digitally can use automatic download features by keeping their consoles in Rest Mode for PlayStation or Sleep mode for Xbox.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19 for both consoles. Rockstar Games clarified that pre-loading does not provide early access to the game.
Code-in-a-box versions for physical purchasers are expected at retailers from November 12, though these will contain a download code rather than a disc. On November 19, the company will also provide a printable cover-art poster and a map of Leonida as free digital downloads on its website.
