BCCI invites applications for women's fielding coach and men's head physio
The Board of Control for Cricket in India is seeking candidates for two key roles by the November 16 deadline.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the positions of fielding coach for the national women's team and head physiotherapist for the senior men's side, according to reports from Sportstar and The New Indian Express.
The fielding coach role follows the tenure of Munish Bali, who has been with the Smriti Mandhana-led women's side since 2022. The BCCI stated that responsibilities for the new coach include developing comprehensive fielding programmes, conducting sessions during practice and matches, and using technology to monitor performance.
For the men's side, the BCCI is looking for a replacement for Kamlesh Jain, who submitted his resignation as head physiotherapist in September. Jain, who joined the team in June 2022, is set to complete his association with the side when the New Zealand tour concludes in December.
The requirements for the head physiotherapist include a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of experience providing physiotherapy services to elite athletes or high-performance squads.
The deadline for submitting applications for both positions is November 16 at 5 PM IST.
