J&K Bank launches customer care town hall series in Baramulla

The initiative provides a platform for customers to engage with senior officials and discuss service-related concerns and safe banking practices.

J&K Bank launched a series of Customer Care Town Hall Meetings, with the first interaction held at its Zonal Office in Baramulla, according to the Kashmir Observer. The initiative aims to provide a direct platform for customers to engage with senior bank officials, share feedback, and seek resolution for service-related concerns.

The meeting was chaired by General Manager (Customer Care) Narjay Gupta and attended by General Manager and Divisional Head (Kashmir) Arshid Qadri. More than 150 customers participated in the interaction to share suggestions and expectations regarding the bank's services.

Discussions covered customer service delivery, mule accounts, cyber fraud prevention, and the strengthening of grievance redressal mechanisms. Participants also emphasised the importance of clearly defined Turnaround Times (TATs) for resolving complaints to ensure accountability.

General Manager Narjay Gupta said the meetings are an extension of efforts to listen to customers and incorporate feedback to improve services. He added that conversations on mule accounts and cyber frauds can help customers recognise risks as banking becomes more digital.

General Manager Arshid Qadri said such interactions help the bank understand customer experiences first-hand and identify areas for improvement. The bank's Transaction Monitoring team also delivered a presentation on mule accounts and fraud prevention during the session.

The bank will extend this town hall series to all Zonal Offices across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and other parts of the country. The next meeting is scheduled to be held in Anantnag on November 5.
