LPG cylinder catches fire during delivery in Bengaluru

A delivery agent used water to try and control flames from a leaking cylinder, leading to online criticism regarding employee training.

A leaking LPG cylinder caught fire during a home delivery in Bengaluru, according to a report by Times Now.

CCTV footage shared on X by the handle ‘rameshofficial0’ shows the incident occurring as an agent wearing a shirt with a gas company logo was delivering the cylinder.

The footage depicts the delivery agent pouring water on the leaking cylinder after receiving a container from someone inside the house.

The viral post stated that a delivery worker narrowly escaped after the cylinder caught fire from a diya placed on the doorstep.

Social media users criticised the gas company, alleging a lack of training for the agent because water was used to handle the fire.

One user commented that the agent should have used a wet blanket or cloth to cover the mouth of the cylinder during such a crisis.
