Torrent Power consolidated profit rises 13 per cent in September quarter
The company reported a 24 per cent increase in revenue from operations for the September quarter of FY27.
Torrent Power recorded a 13 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax, reaching Rs 837.96 crore for the September quarter of FY27, according to Urban Acres.
The company's profit after tax was Rs 741.55 crore during the same period last year. Consolidated revenue from operations grew by 24 per cent to Rs 9,801.58 crore, up from Rs 7,876 crore in the previous year.
The company reported that its adjusted EBITDA grew by 29 per cent during the quarter. This growth included Rs 54 crore in principal recovery related to the Nabha acquisition.
Torrent Power attributed the earnings improvement to its renewable energy and distribution businesses, higher plant load factors in its renewable portfolio, and the consolidation of the Nabha acquisition.
While revenue and adjusted EBITDA increased, the profit before tax remained unchanged at Rs 1,130.73 crore. The company stated that higher finance costs from increased borrowings affected the results.
The company noted that the earnings were supported by newly commissioned projects and improved operational performance across its distribution businesses.
