Wisconsin artist displays 32 NFL logos made from discarded furniture
Ike Wynter used reclaimed wood to create mosaics for the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The National Football League (NFL) displayed a collection of 32 team logos created from reclaimed furniture at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin, according to a Times of India report. The wood artist, Ike Wynter, spent approximately 700 hours completing the project using discarded materials.
Wynter, a self-taught artist from Milwaukee, began collecting wood from roadsides, alleys, and dumpsters in 2016. He used pieces from over 50 discarded furniture items, including entertainment centres and an old vanity, to create the mosaics without using any paint or stain.
The NFL approached Wynter in late December 2024 to create the installation for the draft, which was held at Lambeau Field from April 24 to 26. Each logo measured approximately three feet by three feet and relied on the natural shades and grains of the salvaged wood to represent team colours.
The collection was installed along the Player Walkway as part of the 'Built by Community' theme. NFL Brand Experience Team art director Justin Wright told CBS 58 that the work stood out due to its aesthetic and the practice of sourcing local materials.
For Wynter, the Buffalo Bills logo held personal significance as his grandfather, Raymond Kuffel, played for the team between 1947 and 1949. Wynter told CBS 58 that creating the Bills logo was the most meaningful part of the project.
