Left-arm spinner S. Ajith Ram took seven wickets in the match, including dismissing Rohit Dhanda and Nikhil Sharma in the same over. Tamil Nadu required just 47 deliveries on the final morning to complete the win.
The victory is Tamil Nadu's third consecutive win this season, earning them seven points including a bonus point to reach a total of 21 points. In the first innings, Tamil Nadu declared at 571 for seven.
Pradosh Ranjan Paul was named Player of the Match for his double-century. During the presentation, Paul requested that the honour be given to teammate Ajith Ram.
Tamil Nadu skipper R. Sai Kishore attributed the season's success to the team's camaraderie and the freedom provided by the support staff. Head coach Yo Mahesh said results have come from playing as a unit.
In Chandigarh's second innings, the team was bowled out for 218. Ajith Ram finished with figures of 7 for 48, while Sai Kishore took two wickets.
