Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Indu Kanwal Chib distributed 27 Aadhaar tablets and 27 single fingerprint scanners to Anganwadi workers at the Mini Secretariat in Bandipora on Tuesday.

According to the Daily Excelsior, the distribution was part of a convergent programme by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and the Tribal Affairs Department for Janjatiya Gaurav Divas 2026.

The workers, including tribal workers from Gurez, Tulail, Bagtore, Arin, Aloosa, Bandipora, Sumbal and Hajin, will use the devices for Bal Aadhaar enrolment of children aged 0 to 5 years.
