Ranbir Kapoor found heavy costumes troublesome on Ramayana sets, says Ajinkya Deo

Actor Ajinkya Deo shared details about the challenges faced by the cast while filming the two-part epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Actor Ajinkya Deo has revealed that Ranbir Kapoor found wearing the crown and full get-up for his role as Lord Rama troublesome on the sets of Ramayana, according to a Times of India report.

Speaking to NDTV, Deo, who plays Maharishi Vishwamitra, said the heavy costumes were a challenge for many actors. He noted that Kapoor would express exhaustion due to the weight of the attire.

Deo mentioned that while his own role as a sadhu meant he was often bare-bodied, his wig and beard took one-and-a-half hours to apply. He added that the controlled indoor temperature was a saving grace for the cast.

The two-part film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 4,000 crore. The film features Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

The ensemble cast also includes Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, and Vivek Oberoi. The film hit theatres on Thursday and has received a strong response from viewers.
