Noida astrology platform distributes air purifiers to employees as Delhi pollution rises
AstroTalk gave 1,000 air purifiers to its staff as the National Capital Region faces worsening air quality levels.
Noida-based astrology platform AstroTalk distributed 1,000 air purifiers to its employees as a Diwali gift, according to The Indian Express.
The initiative has gained attention on social media, where some users praised the company for prioritising employee health while others questioned the normalisation of clean air as a premium necessity.
One social media user commented that clean air and drinking water are becoming lifestyle products instead of basic necessities, while another suggested the government should ban firecrackers to protect the environment.
The gesture comes as Delhi's air quality remained in the 'very poor' category on Thursday morning, with the overall AQI recorded at 370 at 8 am.
The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) reported that many parts of the national capital recorded 'severe' pollution levels, with Jahangirpur recording the highest AQI at 459.
