Minimum temperatures in Madhya Pradesh have decreased by 1.5°C, leading to colder nights across the state, according to Bhaskar English. Girwar in Shajapur recorded the lowest temperature at 11.9°C, while Damoh, Karaundi in Katni, Pachmarhi, and Indore all saw temperatures of 12°C or higher.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that temperatures are expected to decline further starting Friday. Daytime temperatures are also decreasing by 2°C to 3°C, with maximum temperatures in Amarkantak, Pachmarhi, Malajkhand, Shivpuri, and Betul remaining below 29°C.
The meteorological department has not issued any alerts for rain or thunderstorms across the state for Friday, 6 November, or 7 and 8 November. While two cyclonic circulations are active in the state, they may only cause light cloud cover without bringing precipitation.
The weather conditions are expected to remain clear during Dhanteras on 6 November and Diwali on 8 November. The IMD noted that the cold is expected to intensify from the second week of November, particularly in the Gwalior-Chambal division due to direct northerly winds.
