Man shot dead by neighbour over parking dispute in Faridabad
The main accused, Monu Sharma, has been arrested after allegedly firing 15 rounds at a 42-year-old man.
A 42-year-old man, Paramjeet Dhankhar, was allegedly shot dead by his neighbour in Faridabad's Sector 21C on Friday night, according to The New Indian Express and The Hindu.
Dhankhar, who worked for a private company in Singapore, was returning from the gym when he asked Monu Sharma to move a car from its designated parking spot.
Sharma allegedly used a licensed pistol to fire 15 rounds, with nine bullets hitting Dhankhar, who died at the spot.
The two families, who live on different floors of the same building, had been involved in disputes regarding vehicle parking and a dog defecating in the parking area.
Dhankhar had arrived in India on November 5 to celebrate Diwali and was scheduled to attend his nephew's wedding on November 24.
Surajkund police station SHO Prahlad Singh said a case has been registered based on a complaint by Dhankhar's son, Shaurya, against Sharma, his wife Divya, son Mayank, daughter Naina, and brother Hetram.
Police have arrested the main accused, Monu Sharma, and are questioning him, while the victim's body has been sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
