Amitabh Bachchan meets fans at Jalsa on Diwali without bulletproof glass

The actor continued his Sunday tradition of meeting supporters outside his Juhu residence despite recent security concerns.

Amitabh Bachchan met fans outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, on Sunday, November 8, to extend Diwali wishes. According to reports from WION and India TV, the 84-year-old actor appeared before the crowd without the bulletproof glass enclosure used during his previous meeting on November 1.

The actor's son, Abhishek Bachchan, accompanied him during the interaction. While Amitabh Bachchan greeted the large gathering, Abhishek Bachchan stood behind him and appeared to monitor the arrangements.

The additional security measures at the Juhu residence follow a threatening email received by Mumbai Police on October 23. The email, which was addressed to Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde and Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi, allegedly warned of possible bomb attacks at multiple locations, including Jalsa, between October 31 and November 27.

The security concerns also follow a firing incident on October 18 involving Tiger Shroff in Juhu. Reports stated that attackers had visited the residences of Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan but were unable to carry out an attack due to existing security arrangements.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the 18th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He was last seen in the 2024 Tamil film Vettaiyan alongside Rajinikanth.
