One person was killed and several others were injured during a shooting at Legion Field stadium in Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday night, according to the Times of India.
The gunfire broke out around 7:50 pm local time, shortly after the conclusion of the Magic City Classic football game.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office confirmed that at least one person had died, though authorities have not disclosed the total number of people injured.
Public safety radio communications indicated that at least two people were critically injured and another person sustained minor injuries.
The Magic City Classic is an annual match played between Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University.
Following the incident, authorities directed people to leave the area around the stadium and suspended all tailgating activities.
