Evacuees from Oleshky reunite with families in northern Ukraine
People evacuated from the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky crossed from Belarus into Ukraine on Saturday to meet their families.
People evacuated from the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky were reunited with their families in the Chernihiv region of northern Ukraine on Saturday, according to BBC News.
The evacuees arrived at a site in Chernihiv via buses and ambulances after travelling through Crimea and Russia following their evacuation from the Ukrainian town on Friday.
The reunions occurred as a ceasefire brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump took effect across the Kherson frontline region on Tuesday.
These ceasefire measures are scheduled to remain in place until the end of Sunday 1 November.
