Lottery winner gives £5,000 to neighbours for overseas holiday

Honorata Jamrozik used part of her £1 million Omaze prize to fund a trip for her long-term neighbours.

Honorata Jamrozik, a mother of two from Dartford, Kent, gave £5,000 to her neighbours after winning a £1 million tax-free prize in the 2026 Omaze Monthly Millionaire Draw.

The gift was intended to fund the first holiday abroad for the neighbouring family, whom Jamrozik has known for 14 years.

Jamrozik, who was born in Poland and has lived in the UK for 25 years, said she viewed the neighbours as family and wanted to help them enjoy a break.

The win occurred two weeks after the funeral of her father in Poland, a loss she had experienced shortly before discovering her fortune.

Jamrozik stated the prize would allow her to return to foster care, a role she performed for seven years before leaving to care for her elderly parents.

She and her husband, married for almost 20 years, are planning a special anniversary trip in October 2026 and intend to include her mother in a family holiday.
