AAP has pushed Punjab towards drug addiction and lawlessness, says Sachin Pilot

Congress leader Sachin Pilot alleged that 395 innocent people have been shot in the state over the last two years.

Congress in-charge for Punjab Sachin Pilot accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on Monday of pushing the state towards drug addiction and deteriorating law and order. According to The Hawk, Pilot alleged that killings have become commonplace and the police have lost public trust.

Pilot claimed that in the last two years, 395 innocent people have been shot in Punjab. He alleged that the police have been rendered helpless and are working as yes-men for the government.

The Congress leader also criticised the AAP over reports of prominent leaders and Rajya Sabha members leaving the party. He argued that these departures reflect dissatisfaction with the party's functioning and its failure to deliver on promises.

Pilot stated that Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, will address an ‘Insaaf Rally’ in Sangrur on November 4. The rally aims to demand justice and address issues such as violence and drug addiction.

The rally is expected to include Congress workers, farmers, youth, and members of the public from across the state. Pilot described the visit as a positive sign for the Congress to consolidate its organisation ahead of upcoming elections.
