Andhra Pradesh appoints three-member Specified Authority to run TTD

The authority will exercise the powers of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board of Trustees until a new board is constituted.

The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday appointed a three-member Specified Authority to manage the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) following the end of the Trust Board's tenure, according to The Hindu.

The new authority will exercise the powers and functions of the TTD Board of Trustees, which was previously headed by B.R. Naidu. The order comes into force with immediate effect.

TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra has been appointed as the chairman of the authority. He will be joined by Secretary (Finance) V. Vinay Chand and Secretary (Endowments) K.

Kannababu as members.

This decision follows the completion of the tenure of the Trust Board that was constituted on October 1, 2024, for a two-year period. The Specified Authority will handle all responsibilities until a new board is formed.

The tenure of the Specified Authority will last for one year or until the appointment of a new Trust Board, whichever occurs earlier.
