Gujarat CM felicitates IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani in Gandhinagar

Dileep Sanghani was honoured following his election as a Director of the International Cooperative Alliance during an election held in Panama.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel felicitated IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani at a ceremony in Gandhinagar on Sunday. The event celebrated Sanghani's election as a Director of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), which is the global apex body for cooperatives from 108 countries.

According to the Indian Cooperative, Sanghani secured a majority in the election held in Panama. Chief Minister Patel described the achievement as a moment of pride for every Gujarati and noted that India has created a favourable environment for representatives to succeed on international platforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Patel praised Sanghani's contribution to the cooperative sector from 1978 to 2026 and credited his leadership for the progress of IFFCO over the last four years. The Chief Minister also mentioned Sanghani's joint family of 42 members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Sanghani expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the people of Gujarat. He said his election to the ICA Board was recognition of India's strong cooperative movement rather than a personal achievement.

The gathering included Rajkot MP Parshottam Rupala, Jagdish Vishwakarma, former MP Narhari Amin, former minister Vallabh Kakadiya, and Prashant Korat. Representatives from the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other organisations also attended to congratulate Sanghani.
