Air Force Schools adopt child digital safety programme across India
The initiative aims to protect students from online hazards including grooming, financial fraud and the misuse of artificial intelligence.
All Air Force Schools across the country have been onboarded onto ScrollControl, a child digital safety programme, according to The Tribune.
The Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society took this initiative under the aegis of Air Headquarters to build cyber safety capability and protect children from online hazards.
As part of the programme, 261 teachers from 42 Air Force Schools have completed a certification course as Cyber Crime Intervention Officers.
These teachers are trained to protect children from online grooming, exploitation, gaming-related harm and financial frauds, while also acting as first responders to preserve digital evidence.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) said on Monday that the initiative enables schools to align with Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) requirements to incorporate cyber safety practices.
Through ScrollControl, schools can form cyber clubs, certify students, conduct awareness sessions for parents, and access an age-appropriate content rating platform.
