Apple posts all-time September quarter revenue record in India

The company achieved record revenue in India for the September quarter alongside global growth in iPhone, Mac, and services.

Apple has achieved an all-time revenue record in India for the September quarter, according to The Hawk. During an earnings call for the fiscal 2026 fourth quarter that ended on September 26, Apple CEO John Ternus stated the company also set September quarter records in the Americas, Europe, Greater China, and the rest of Asia-Pacific.

The company reported total quarterly revenue of $114.4 billion, representing a 12 per cent increase year-on-year. iPhone revenue reached $57.6 billion globally, up 17 per cent from a year ago. Ternus noted that the company set a September quarter record for upgraders in the US, China mainland, and India.

Mac revenue rose 24 per cent year-on-year to $10.8 billion, driven by the MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro. Apple CFO Kevan Parekh said the company saw all-time records in markets such as India and Southeast Asia for Mac. Services revenue also hit an all-time record of $31.6 billion, up 10 per cent year-on-year.

Tarun Pathak, Research Director at Counterpoint Research, said India showed strength across diverse data points, including record iPhone upgraders and all-time Mac and Services records. Pathak noted that the iPhone average selling price in India reached an all-time high, surpassing $1,000 during the quarter.

Ternus also highlighted the recent launch of Apple Pay in India with Axis Bank. Regarding future margins, management expects the gross margin for the December quarter to be between 45-46 per cent due to higher memory costs.
