Fire breaks out at Vivek Vihar house in Delhi
All residents were safely evacuated from the first floor of the residence after a blaze was extinguished by the fire brigade.
A fire occurred on the first floor of a residence in the Vivek Vihar area of Delhi on Tuesday morning, according to ANI and The News Mill.
A security guard on duty reported that smoke was seen emanating from the building before the flames began to spread. This prompted people at the location to contact the fire brigade.
The fire brigade arrived at the scene and extinguished the blaze, ensuring that all occupants were rescued safely. The security guard stated that the family, including children, evacuated the premises gradually, though he noted the parents' health was a bit worse.
The incident follows a separate fire on October 18 at a pulses mill factory in the Narela Industrial Area. Delhi Fire Service Assistant Divisional Officer Paras Kumar said that the fire service received a call at 11:10 am regarding that factory fire.
Regarding the Narela incident, Kumar said that four to five fire tenders were initially sent before the response was increased to nine or ten tenders. He confirmed the fire was extinguished and cooling operations were underway.
