The India Meteorological Department has forecast thunderstorms and isolated heavy rain for Bengaluru, coastal Karnataka and the Malnad region.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms, strong winds and isolated heavy rain across parts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, coastal areas and the Malnad region, according to Urban Acres.
The weather pattern, issued on November 3, is partly attributed to the influence of the Murusu cyclone. While coastal and Malnad districts face rain, much of north Karnataka is expected to stay dry.
On Tuesday, November 3, moderate rain or thundershowers were expected in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada. Light to moderate rain with winds of 30-40 kmph was possible in isolated parts of Raichur, Yadgir and Koppal.

Most parts of Bagalkot, Belagavi, Dharwad, Bidar, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi and Vijayapura were expected to remain dry.
On Wednesday, November 4, moderate rain was expected in coastal Karnataka, while light to moderate rain could occur in Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural. Heavy rain and strong winds were possible in Tumakuru, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Ramanagara.
