Bhadradri Kothagudem activates control room as Cyclone Murasu approaches

The district administration has advised residents to stay away from water bodies and avoid non-essential travel due to predicted heavy rainfall.

The Bhadrachalam Sub-Collector’s office has activated a control room in Bhadradri Kothagudem district following the approach of Cyclone Murasu, according to The Hindu.

The administration issued a safety advisory for the public, requesting that people do not undertake unnecessary journeys and stay out of water bodies.

This advisory comes after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast heavy rainfall for the district on November 3 and November 4.

The control room can be contacted at 08743-232444.

In the former undivided Khammam district, several areas experienced cloudy weather and light drizzle on Tuesday.
