Cyberabad Police advise IT firms to implement early logout amid rain forecast

Organisations are requested to stagger employee departures between November 3 and November 5 to manage potential traffic congestion and rainfall.

The Cyberabad Traffic Police have advised IT companies and other organisations within the commissionerate limits to implement staggered early logout timings from 2 pm between Tuesday, November 3, and Thursday, November 5, 2026. According to The Hindu, the advisory comes in view of a forecast for moderate to heavy rainfall across the region.

The Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) has asked organisations to consider completing the staggered logout process by 4 pm. This measure aims to minimise travel-related risks, prevent severe traffic congestion during the afternoon and evening, and ensure the uninterrupted movement of emergency services.

The police have also suggested that companies consider allowing employees to work from home (WFH) during the three-day period as an alternative to commuting. The advisory noted that these steps are necessary to maintain business continuity and ease pressure on road infrastructure during intermittent weather conditions.

Organisations have been requested to share their locations and proposed early logout timings with the Cyberabad Traffic Police via email at [email protected]. This information will help the department put adequate traffic management arrangements in place during the forecast period.
