Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation appoints ward-wise nodal officers for sanitation
The new officers will oversee waste management and field supervision across the Malkajgiri, Uppal and LB Nagar zones.
Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy appointed nodal officers for every ward on Tuesday to improve sanitation management, according to a press release from Telangana Today.
The officers are tasked with managing road cleaning, the removal of refuse and the collection of waste from households.
The orders, which came into force immediately, cover all circles within the Malkajgiri, Uppal and LB Nagar zones.
These designated officers will carry out these new duties in addition to their existing responsibilities.
The nodal officers must work with circle and zonal officials to resolve issues regarding waste accumulation and sanitation complaints, the release stated.
The orders also require special monitoring of Garbage Vulnerable Points to stop waste from building up.
Zonal commissioners and deputy commissioners have been instructed to review the performance of these officers to ensure the orders are implemented effectively.
