Russian air strike on Ukraine humanitarian aid centre kills 24

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said missiles hit a school and shelter in the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in multiple civilian deaths.

At least 24 people were killed during a Russian air strike on a humanitarian aid centre in southern Ukraine, according to a report by Mint.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday that a series of missiles hit an aid distribution centre operating from a school and a nearby shelter in the Komyshuvakha settlement of the Zaporizhzhia region.

Zelenskyy stated that the attack included a double-tap strike with nine bombs targeting the shelter where people were taking cover after an initial aerial bomb strike.

The dead included two rescuers and four police officers, which the President described as “utterly horrific” in a post on the social media platform X.

Zelenskyy said the attack was proof that Russia wants no de-escalation and no real justice.

The strike follows a drone strike on a railway station in Dnipro on Thursday that killed at least 14 people.
