Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra may feature 200MP camera and privacy display

The upcoming flagship series is expected to launch in early 2027 with a new Pro model and redesigned camera module.

Samsung is reportedly preparing to launch its Galaxy S27 series in early 2027, which may include a new Pro variant alongside the standard, Plus, and Ultra models, according to reports from Hindustan Times, Mathrubhumi, and Mint.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to feature a redesigned rear camera bar positioned higher on the back panel. Leaked dummy units suggest this change aims to provide more space for magnetic accessories, such as wireless chargers, potentially resolving alignment issues seen in the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

The Ultra and Pro models may include an advanced privacy display technology that blurs or darkens the screen when viewed from side angles. This upgraded version is expected to offer improved brightness compared to previous versions, while the standard and Plus models may not include this feature.

Specifications for the S27 Ultra are rumoured to include a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide sensor, and a 50MP telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom. The device may also feature a 6.89-inch display, a 5,700mAh battery with 60W wired charging, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme chipset.

The proposed Galaxy S27 Pro could include a 6.47-inch screen and a 5,200mAh battery. Estimates suggest the Pro model might be priced at USD 1,399, while the Ultra could start at USD 1,499, the standard at USD 999, and the Plus at USD 1,199.

Samsung has not yet provided official confirmation regarding the specifications, pricing, or production plans for the Galaxy S27 series.
